SC 457 Long Term (temporary) Business Visa:
This is the most commonly used program to allow overseas workers to work in Australia on a temporary basis for up to 4 years. You must be sponsored by an Australian employer, have an employment background relevant to and consistent with the position to be performed. You must have acceptable English language ability, be of good character and healthy. Your spouse/partner and other members of the family may be included in the application.
Business skills visa
Business Visa and Investor Visa applicants may apply either independently or sponsored by an Australian State or Territory. The requirements for the sponsored visa might be slightly easier to meet. With the exception of the Business Talent Visa, all business skills visas are provisional, for a period of two years, after which the visa holder may apply for a permanent visa.
For all visa classes, the applicant must:
- demonstrate an overall successful business career, record of investment or business activity
- demonstrate a commitment to establishing a business or making an investment in Australia
- show the need to be a temporary resident in Australia
- have no adverse business history and
- pass health and character requirements
