Processing time for Skilled Visa Applications

Skilled visa applications, such as i.e.


Skilled-Independent Visa (subclass 175) or
Skilled-Sponsored Visas (subclass 176)
Regional Sponsored Migration Stream (RSMS) (subclass 119)
Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (subclass 121)

are processed under the updated priority processing standards:


ENS/RSMS applications are processed in priority group 1; the new processing time has been published as 5 - 7 months from the date of lodgement.

In priority group 2 there are i.e. Skilled-Sponsored Visas, subclass 176; the new processing time has been published as approx. 12 months from the date of lodgement.

Priority group 3 includes i.e. subclass 175 applications; the new processing time has been published as approx. 18 - 24 months from the date of lodgement.

In priority group 4 there are all other skilled applications; Assessment of those cases will commence once priority group 1 – 3 cases are finalized.
